Hikkaduwa
Sri Lanka
Nestled on the southwestern coast, Hikkaduwa sits at the intersection of culture, luxury, and raw natural wonder. The coral sanctuary here — one of the most pristine in the Indian Ocean — shelters over 170 species of reef fish and a permanent colony of sea turtles.
The Indian Ocean here breaks with legendary consistency from November through April. When the monsoon recedes, it leaves crystalline waters and visibility stretching beyond 20 metres. This is where Aloha calls home.

I've dived in Maldives, Thailand, and Bali. Hikkaduwa with Aloha is up there with the very best. Impeccable equipment, expert guides, and waters that defy description.
The surf lesson package is worth every rupee. Patient, professional, and impossibly fun. I came as a nervous beginner and left planning my return as an intermediate surfer.
